It has been observed that Jeena regularly brings dogs from shelters to the Legacy Kitchen facility. This raises significant concerns because animals should not have unrestricted access to areas where food is prepared, cooked, packaged, or stored.
The risk is particularly concerning given that the food produced by KLC is intended for senior citizen consumption, a population that may be more vulnerable to foodborne illness.
In professional food manufacturing environments, strict controls are implemented to prevent contamination from animals, including hair, dander, saliva, dirt, and other biological contaminants.
Additionally, there appears to be no closed door separating the main cooking area from other parts of the facility at Legacy Kitchen. The lack of a physical barrier may increase the risk that animal contaminants, or other sources of contamination could enter food preparation and packaging areas.
We respectfully request Yongsan City Officials to investigate these issues and provide clarification regarding the facility's food safety controls and compliance measures.
